Inscribe the twelve names upon the ledger. Light the candles. Do not anger the amulet.
Save the Ritual Scroll (a small file) between rounds so a refreshed page never erases the dark work. Restore it to pick up where you left off.
Every ranked rite scores all twelve. The scale never changes; the Snake Lord despises inconsistency.

Team rites (Beer Pong, Beersbie, Putter Pong, Slam Jam) rank six pacts; both partners receive 15, 10, 7, 5, 3, or 1 by team finish. Pacts are drawn in the Cauldron and no pairing ever repeats. Streak bonus: win two rites in a row, +3 on the second. Bounty pact: +3 if your cursed pick finishes dead last. Rite VI is the Devil's Wheel — wager your hoard at the roulette table.
Four team rites — the Chalice Toss, the Flying Disc, the Cursed Green, and the Slam Jam Séance — each demand six pacts of two. Stir the cauldron and no soul shall keep the same ally twice across all four rites. The cauldron guarantees it.
Stirring the cauldron uses the ancient rotation so every pairing is unique across the entire Gauntlet. You can also re-stir a single rite below, and the cauldron will still refuse to repeat a pact from the other three.
Perform them in order or as the spirits allow. Record each finishing order and the candles will tally. The Devil's Wheel awaits at the end — wager wisely.
The taller the flame, the closer to the amulet. The bottom of the ledger belongs to the serpent.
Before the first rite, each soul secretly names the one they believe the Snake Lord will claim (dead last overall). A correct curse earns +3 points at the final tally.
Win two consecutive ranked rites and the flame favors you: +3 bonus on the second, applied automatically. In team rites, both champions carry the flame.
When all rites are complete and the wheel has spoken, the two souls at the bottom of the ledger may duel once — flip cup, single-cup pong, whatever is swift — for the right to escape the serpent's mark.
When the final flame is counted, the drafting order is revealed. Light a candle. Kiss the amulet. Do not look the Snake Lord in the eye.
